Problème javascript jquery Datatables

Bonjour
Je rencontre un problème avec du javascript jquery plug in Datatables.
Cependant, la présence d'un alert("toto") bien placé fait que mon script fonctionne parfaitement. Si cette alert est supprimé le script ne produit plus le résultat attendu.
Avez vous une idée, un conseil, une direction ou chercher.
